Since the lockdown has been enforced in Toronto and the GTA, it has been almost 6 weeks. While kids have been at home since March break, some parents are working at home and some are laid off or are on Furlow, some have grandparents and extended family members living with them, making their home feel tight and cramped up. This lockdown may have proven to many families a need to move to a bigger or spacious home.

As the market was forced to slow down in the 2nd week of March, there is a pent-up demand for housing that is passive for now, however in a few weeks from now the market will start moving slowly but surely, in some countries the lockdown will be lifted by May 11th when people will start going back to work and businesses will open. Even during this time, there are homes being bought and sold, some areas show a slight dip in the prices, but in some areas, there are multiple offers and properties are sold over asking price!  It is a great time to look for a bigger home if your existing home is not big enough for growing children or extended family members living with you. Interest rates are low.
